Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs is the second of the four Futurama straight-to-DVD films. The film will be released in the USA and Canada on June 24, 2008, followed by a UK release on June 30, 2008 and an Australian release on August 6, 2008.

Following directly after the events of Bender’s Big Score, a giant rift in space and time allows a repulsive, planet-sized alien monster from another universe to come to Earth. The monster takes control of Fry, making him Pope of a new religion that sweeps the planet, eventually causing humanity to leave the planet and robots to inherit the Earth.

The film will feature voice talents from: Brittany Murphy as Colleen, Fry’s new polyamorous girlfriend; David Cross as Yivo, the planet-sized tentacled alien that was mentioned before; Professor Stephen Hawking reprising as himself, but this time, as his own head in a jar; and Dan Castellaneta reprising his role as the Robot Devil.
