There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her.

She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I will marry you."

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?'

The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying:

'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'

if any of you had read the first bizarro appearance in the superman comics, it's almost the same as the story OP told. Bizarro is a superman clone, but it failed somewhere. So he ended up have extreme strength and the abilities that superman had. However, his appearance was mechanic and monsterlike, so even though he started out doing nice things, people would run away and scream and they would beg him to leave them alone. He couldnt understand why everyone was so much against him (and eventually decided to be evil) but there was this girl who was blind. She heard his voice and could tell that he was nice and soft at his heart. So he did everything he could to make this girl happy, because she was the only one that didnt despise him because of his looks. He never knew she was blind though. However, once the real superman (clark kent) caught up to bizarro, he told bizarro that the girl was blind (or something, dont remember quite, but bizarro found out that she was blind) and so bizarro thought that the only one that loved, only loved him cause she didnt know he looked like a monster. and so he had no reason to exist. In a kamikaze style he would charge superman and know that he would be terminated (cause superman had a device that made bizarro weak, similar to kryptonite) and he died.
But in bizarros death, lied a sacrifice, he knew that the radiation from him if subjected to organic life would cause it to heal and so he pointed it directly at the girls eyes. so he sacrificed his life for the only one that treated him like a person with feelings. So that she could see again.

pretty cool story for superman comic eh? many of the superman comic stories got a really nice feel to it. Like we all know lex luthor is tha evil from watching smallville, but in the original superman comics, it was hard to decide. his stories always had a dilemma to them, it wouldnt make him stand out as evil although he did the usual villain stuff.
