You mean the infomercial video on TV right? If you like hip hop and dance then I think it might work. However, I would recommend jogging better, because I found it's the most effective way of keeping the ab lean. Not to mention that it's free of charge. Or if u like the crowd, u can always hit the club and dance the sweat out, that would work too

Hip hop abs? If you want to go on a diet, you should never cut back on eating. What you should do is change your diet. This means cutting out the carbs intake and eating less meat. I've have friends who lost A LOT of weight by simpling eating regularly but sticking to a diet of fish and veggies.
Drinking water is another efffective way of dieting, but much slower. Remember that your body is made up of 75-80% water anyways, and unlike food, it wont clog your arteries. That and the fact that if you drink a lot of water, you'll be full off of it and you'll feel less hungry.

Just a thought.

any cardio is better than none. but to say that the hip hop abs works better than any other cardio routine would probably prove false. and to kind of agree with coldone, you shouldn't go on a diet in the traditional sense. diets are short term and thus any weight you lose will be just that, short term. the key is modifying your current food intake to more healthy foods and space them evenly throughout the day, ie eat 5-6 times a day, with smaller portions of healthier foods so your metabolism stays at a constant rate. Starving yourself is probably the worst thing you can do b/c by doing so your body will start to break down muscle long before it burns fat and you end up losing muscle mass and your body fat remains.

psygone is right in the sense that jogging is most likely equally as effective as the hiphop ab routine, but I prefer cycling the best.

my 2 cents... dont let yourself get too comfortable in a long relationship... i've been with my man for 7yrs and went from 120lbs to 170 lbs (no children)... I agree with all the advices they gave in the reply... b4 i fell in an infactuation with my significant other, i've walked, jogged, sit-ups, danced, went clubbing, regulate my eating habbits... after the 3rd year with my love, i've let myself go... so my opinion, do all the hip-hop abs and some... when you meet that special someone, watch yourself or you'll become a ballon like me...

i got my abs from doing cardio and curl ups but i didnt really diet...

never ever sit around all day if you want abs. dont be a couch potato lol
